This give a clear hindside of the titan P new pricing, it has to be within 6700K price from $1700, or anywhere between $1300-$1700. rolleyes.gif

Jen HH: If Intel can be first to price a $999 cpu to $1759, why we cant?
No, it's gonna be $650, and undermine the whole GP104 line-up. Cause Nvidia is a well known Santa Claus type.

Yet ppl expect 1080Ti will be somehow a bang for the buck card, with HBM2 onboard....

Yeah,right.
boy, will your face be red when I show you this comment when the official msrp is known....

I could care less. I can afford it either way. I don't buy Titans. I'll wait for the Lightning 1080Ti's.

I don't see your point if you do not care about money. That 1080 owners do and you get a kick out of it ?

Frankly, both waiting for full chip of current gen and getting the x80 of the new gen are good GPU upgrade tactics. Volta should have a native async support just when it's needed while you'll be stuck on your 1080Ti, which is gonna get maybe 12 months of nvidia improving it with drivers.

Damn i don't even want to know the 1080ti's price. Just thinking about it is making my wallet have a nervous breakdown.

I've spoken on this before. If you have a fresh build and could not wait the 1070/1080 are great options minus the price. Having money to burn doesn't mean I spend it unwisely. Nvidia has worked this scheme many times over. I just don't simply understand why people keep falling for it. These price hikes have gotten out of hand. We are currently paying $700 for a midrange cut down gpu. That's just nuts. If you have an itch to upgrade and can't wait what choice do you have I guess. Amd has and always will be garbage and keep falling further and further behind. Titan will be a monster of a card but still terrible value at $1k. 1080Ti will once again be the smart choice when it drops. But again if you can't wait then well you're stuck overpaying.

What people fail to realise is many people dont care about the 300 price diffrence between this and that, oh the tragedy I have to work 1 day extra to buy a titan its just a few hundred bucks.

With this news, I'm quite close to cancelling my preorder for 2 1080s and waiting it out for the Titan. I will be running 4k.

Is this likely to launch the moment it's unveiled? What has happened in the past?

If you're looking to upgrade "soon", you may as well just commit to the 1080 (single, since SLI scaling is broken/garbage in pretty much everything). I don't expect any of these GP100s to materialize until after nvidia finishes their Tesla delivery to ORNL, which won't be until the middle of next year.

Given nvidia's recent history of bilking customers, the first generation of Titans will probably be immediately available after they "launch", but probably crippled P100s that failed ORNL's requirements for TDP or have defective compute clusters.

I wouldn't expect the full, unlocked, monster chip until winter 2017 at the earliest--that'll be the Titan Black to the Titan.

No, people said the 490 was stock a 980 and a good overclocker... then AMD released the 480.

Get your farces straight!
