[Various] Pascal Titan could be 50% faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 - Rumoured to launch in August - Page 21

Why would Nvidia bother releasing Titan when 4096 core Vega is only likely be competing against 1080? And that Vega has slim chance of even making it this year.
I don't expect Titan until like Feb/March of next year.

1080 wont push 1440p 60+fps max settings when the newer and more demanding games hit. It is a cross between 1080p/1440p card. Now the 1080Ti I would expect full 1440p 60fps+ max settings always. We are not even into the newer games yet. The 1080 cannot push witcher 3 all maxed out settings at 60+fps 1440p. That is a FACT.

Because the margins on such a product with no competition would be sky high vs the 1080. And people will buy them. They have to do something with the defective tesla and quadro parts.

I predict: For the low, low price of $1,999 and the feeling guilt for putting that much on your credit card.

If true these performance gains are getting insane. When will it start to plateau?

And they would go to cut down Quadro versions for even better margin. wink.gif

And historically, All Titans were released in Feb/March. Given there is no competition from AMD any time soon at the high end, I don't expect that to be changing.

People on here complaining about big Pascal taking 8+8 or 8+6 when baby Pascal only takes a single 8-pin. My Lightnings take 2x8's and a 6pin lol.
