[Various] Pascal Titan could be 50% faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 - Rumoured to launch in August - Page 28

$699 was a tough pill to swallow. Even at $599. Nvidia can get bent going further with pricing. My cap was reached with the 1080.

Praying this isn't over 1500 USD...

I was going to get 2 of these to replace my 980s, but good god living in Canada that conversion rate is just killer.

Big Pasqal reveal. When the price of $1,400 comes up on the screen. I would love for everyone just to get up and walk out. Man that would be epic.

it is shocking/horrifying to see how well Nvidias pricing works despite being way too high.

People are not worrying that this card will be more expensive than the previous Titan cards (999$) but they are "only" worried to not be over 50%!! more expensive than the previous one.

I mean people can buy/pay what they want, but damn that is a sour outlook for me if people are ready to pay up to 1499$ for a single GPU and maybe even more frown.gif

Pay that. Less then a year the 1180 hits for only $699 faster then big pasqal. Its a pricing game and it works great. Bravo to Nvidia I say. Well played. No cap exist for them or other people obviously. Sky is the limit. Keep on shooting!!!!!!

Would definitively bode well with the Titan buyers that love a little reasuring clap on the back for lots of money well spent biggrin.gif

When yields get better bring out the GTX 1080 Ti. Nvidia may not need a GTX 1080 Ti for the next 9 months to 1-up AMD. The GTX 1080 may be enough and the Titan is the ultra deluxe enthusiast card for quite a while. Definitively food for thought there magnek !

I actually think Titan will be a cut down GP100 part that uses HBM2, while 1080 Ti will actually be GP102 but still use GDDR5X.

This way nVidia can justify the extra premium on the Titan even more, and make the Titan owners feel more special.

The day x04 cards reach $999 is the day I quit PC gaming.

Kind of what I've been fearing. It doesn't make sense to continually put out a $1,000+ GPU then to equal it with a slightly cut down version of the same card at $300 less. At the very least I'd be surprised to see HBM2 memory on the card.

It all has me on the fence. Part of me wants to give in and buy a titan. Part of me wants to rebel and move down in GPU.

I can't complain too much about costs. I've got 2 Gsync monitors. Nvidia can easily check me off as a guaranteed sale for some time. I'm sure they figure all of that crap into what they're going to charge. I mean, wth is going to buy AMD over Nvidia when they have a Gsync monitor?

Bottlenecks a 6950X? Is that based on single thread gaming performance? Won't DX12 utilize available cores/threads?

At 1080p DX11 it will. 4K. Not. 144 Hz probably in some games.
