[Various] Pascal Titan could be 50% faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 - Rumoured to launch in August - Page 38

videocardz said the source from vrworld are the truth, and its not a rumor:

Some fresh news about a new TITAN have just popped up at VR-World.
GeForce GTX TITAN ‘P’, GTX 1080 Ti

Before we begin, few words those who are unfamiliar with VR-World website. You might remember a site called Bright Side of News (BSN). VR World is essentially BSN’s new name, you can still find all BSN articles at VR World. Theo Valich is known editor and I don’t think his latest post is just a rumor.

According to the article, VRW staff had the opportunity to hold ‘GP100/102-based GTX TITAN’ in their hands just few days ago. Although this card (TITAN) is not expected to hit the market before GP102 Quadro implementation goes official, VRW actually gave us a date, which is August 17th to 21st at Gamescom in Germany.

"late and underperform" now you just sound like a Nvidia fanboy because you're judging a card that we have exactly 0 info about other the fact that it's gonna be called Vega, a flagship card and will have HBM2.

Also "late": this will be around the same time the Titan will arrive. No way they'll release it this year, as many others and me have said before.

Inb4 Nvidia releases their titan with 2 cards in stock.

Nvidia has somehow managed to make a launch date subjective, Where I live I can get a 480 but not the 1080. Its insane, Its insane, Its insane, Irresponsible launch dates.

Considering the price of 1080 and these rumor it can only mean one thing. Titan is no longer 1K if it comes this soon.

Oh and so the RX480 which is one month late, consume as much power as 1070 and yet still perform so much slower is not under performing?

I wasnt never an nvidia boy, but seeing how AMD had again time and time disappoint us, no more trust on the red.

480 wasn't late, they said polaris will launch mid 2016 and it launched on exact mid 2016 (29 june). and late or not what does it have to do with it's tdp ? losing an argument so put another ? lol

not their fault you guys believe in hype. performance is expected ( it's just 32rops brah) but p/w is disappointing.

So you trust the company that bought you irresponsible power prices and the 3.5GB 970?

Trusting any large company that is out to make money is foolish, they are just a business. Trust family and friends.

1. It wasn't a month late.
2. RX 480 isn't trying to compete with 1070.

It wasnt a month late compared to Nvidia new offering

RX 480 doesnt need to compete to 1070 but if it offer at least 980 performance at 100W peak consumption the ball game would have been completely different.

Look at the gap between RX 480 and 1080, how much Vega will need to catch up to match a 1080? Almost twice the performance, and that means twice the power consumption and cores. If they need to stand a chance against the Titan its has to be a 6000 cores Vega. Do you seriously think AMD can pack a 6000 cores in their Vega lineup?

8000 cores and crush Ngridia.
