So if its the same chip we only get around 2900 single core unit and 900 DP. So i will buy the titan for gaming, so 900 DP is a waste. Why not use all 3800 single core unit for the titan P like the Titan X, people that only gaming dont need these double precision unit core.
Am i wrong ? sorry for my bad english, i try my best
and finally all rumors for gp102 with gddr5x are false ?
man im dead with my i5 4690, i need at least a i7 4790k ? isnt ?
i just bought a gtx windforce 1070 for waiting for the next titan. i will receive it next week. Maybe i should not use it and sell it brand new, the 1070-1080 (non-founders card) is backorder everywhere in canada, at least in montreal. Should i wait for the titan P and sell my gefore 1070 brand new ?
Thanks for answers and help. Im really interested to buy the next Titan P. i want to be able to play game in 4k at high setting or ultra with 60fps for atleast a few years. i can live with 35-40fps, but its not optimal at all.
No, gp102 means its a geforce core without the dp to improve yield loss and also to give extra performance per watt.
And becz it doesnt have a dp, it doesnt undercut the gp100 tesla or quadro sales, but the problem is all the useless gp100 will be a huge waste, hence gp102 will require a premium above $1000 to compensate.
This is the only reason they could release it, within 3 months of may. I wonder what they desperate for?
