[Various] Pascal Titan could be 50% faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 - Rumoured to launch in August - Page 51

It probably bottlenecks a 6950X at stock with its atrocious 3.5GHz turbo. Assuming 2x Titan X performance, except for games that scale beyond 4 cores (the number of which I can count on two hands), I refuse to believe a 6950X @ 4.4 will bottleneck this thing, well maybe if you gamed at 720p LOL.

Funny in most games my IVY @ 4.6GHz probably faster then this $1700 stock CPU in games.

The big P maybe, jan 2017, but the small P? Maybe 3 month earlier. I said the rest mirror the release of kepler, but i didnt say the small P will follow. It will be the one that might come out in sept

Wouldn't the small P be the 1080Ti and follow the Big P as per usual?

Well they could want the small P to be a direct Titan X successor and be the absolute highest of high-end gaming paraphernalia, while the big P is a proper successor to the DP toutin' og Titans

Yup that is the plan. Putting it as 1080 ti is going to cause uproar for the $999, but not so negative if its flag as titan series.

On the other hand both big and small P share the same 3584 cores configure. Only different lies in 12GB and 16GB, 640 vs 480 GB/s. And probably DP available for the bigger brother.

And even then the "bottleneck" you'd be hitting is your monitor anyways!

It is hbm2, so unless there is a gp103 with a gddr5x controller if not u can dream on having g5x on titan.

Source is wrong. They may have held the card in their hand but have never tried it. wink.gif

Ur source is likely to be wrong, vrw alr pull off the heatsink as u can see from the Power connector shown in the pcb. Now if g5x its should be obvious since the memory chip are place outside the GPU die, any amateur can identify the black emulsion Memory chip. The fact that its not means its HBM inside the GPU die pad itself.

Also titan card have memory chip place on the back side of the pcb. Just flip it around and u can see it.

Last but not least, if u understand how memory work, you will not be able to get 16gb with 384 bits. Your source dont make sense.
