[Various] Pascal Titan could be 50% faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 - Rumoured to launch in August - Page 54

I believe the vrworld rumor, videocardz said they arent liar. Vrworld said they did test the titan in hand, so i believe for a august announcement with hbm2 with 2 models, one with 12gb and the other 16gb, and i still think the 12gb will be 999$, in that case they know they will sell a lot more and this way it will affect radeon with vega sales. If you bought a titan at 999$ , i dont think you will buy a vega flagship with hbm2. The 16gb titan will be for the most fanatic and people with a lot of money to spend. I think maybe they will skip 1080ti and go directly with 1180 gtx with 384bit and gddr5x with 3840 cores that will be near titan 16gb performance. Thats my prediction

Those $379 xx70 video cards are like Big Foot or Loch Ness monster. Not proven to exist.
I yet have to see one to believe.
Yet you have a point.

You are funny Nvidia has been doing new release on their next generation lineup. We predict there is 1000 series back in the 2014 days. What is special here?

Unless we are seeing a full rebrand, if not the next X80 card will be GP102 based, and the X70 will be a full GP104 card and so on.

Being a full GP104 card is just a rebrand GTX 1080.

Oh don't get the joke wrong. The video card does exist.
But the $379 one is nowhere to be seen.

facts are pretty predictable. we are gonna see a $1000 cut down chip, with fully enabled one priced at +$1200, if Vega is either waay late or can't deliver the performance to overtake cut Titan P.
If we get Vega that is stuck between 1080 and Titan P just like Fury X was stuck between 980 and 980Ti, and couldn't even touch Titan X, we'll see nvidia charge more.

I think the situation will be getting worse if 1060 turns out to be faster than 480. AMD will simply not be able to compete if Polaris vs Pascal architecture comparison turns out to be worse than GCN 1.1-1.3 vs Maxwell

I don't give a crap about overpaying for a GPU once, but if that's the sign of things to stay for a long, long while then I might give that Xbox scorpio a second thought

I prey for a 999$ 12gb titan announcement in august. Please prey for me wink.gif i cant spend 1400$ for a 16gb titan or worst case 1400$ for a 12gb titan . I want a 4k 60fps videocard before december, sept to nov a perfect fit for me. Still i dont think far cry primal will have 60fps in ultra at 4k , even with a titan 16gb full die, but most games will do it. And i dont enable AA in 4k at all

Anyway in worst case i will play with my gtx 1070 until a 999$ videocard can do 4k at 60fps for most games
Maybe intel can do 4k at 60fps with their next integrated gpu ? LoL
Intel should begin to make dedicate videocard, this way nvidia will lower their price in panic. wink.gif the worst case for nvidia is Intel buying Radeon. Can i dream ? wink.gif ... Last news: Intel surprised everyone and announced a dedicate videocard with 8192 cores and 32gb hbm2 named Intel PowerDemon videocard only at 50% retail price promotion if you buy a intel 8 cores cpu for a limited time...LOL ... I should go to sleep and stop drinking LOL

I can justify spending $1.4K for a 4K 60 fps card, but to do it cause of Far Cry Primal is just too much for me biggrin.gif
