[Various] Pascal Titan could be 50% faster than the GeForce GTX 1080 - Rumoured to launch in August - Page 65

Ive read earlier Titan will come after Tesla/Quadro, dont have the link right now

not to mention it makes sense, frist units are Teslas, they have priority, then they start Titans

especially since Vega is a long way off and there is no big rush

Vega is rumored Q1 or even H1 2017, they can release Titan P ~January 2017

If you read by the way I mentioned they did the sorting, they will have enough stock for Titan as well as Tesla, for one thing, its easier to fail a HPC tesla requirement. Heck they might even have more Titans than Tesla right now.

Again while its not impossible, Nvidia could release them at the same time, IF Titan does not cannibalized their Tesla sales, which in the case appear to be more likely (Crippled DP).

Again this is not 1080 Ti, Nvidia can release them anytime and it will not be affecting anything. Since when AMD can even affect the Titan in any way?

Check the release date for:

OG Titan vs R9 290X
Titan Black vs (Nth from AMD)
Titan X vs Fury X

You realized Titan has nth to do with AMD at all. It is an isolated independent release. So stop linking it with Vega, if anything titan will release at least 3 months before Vega, like it been doing since 2013.

Titan is very much linked to Vega, since there is a chance Vega might outperform 1080, but it will never touch Titan P

so Titan P gives 100% guarantee that the perf crown belongs to Nvidia

That will be the 1080 Ti, not the Titan

You keep getting things mixed up.

780 ti was born becz of R9 290X which threaten the Titan
980 ti was release to combat Fury X.

Not obvious enough?

What make you think Titan P release on Sept cannot guarantee 100% performance crown, they probably crown it 3 months before AMD did anything to challenge.

so TItan covers them

Source?

You realised the strongest point of Ti is always about price that matches close to AMD highest offering right? Not the absurb $999 or even $1399

Nvidia pull out a 780 Ti when we least expected... So where is ur source they didnt have enough 1080 Ti?

Mine is obviously based on Nvidia release trend of Titan for past 3 generation. Not your out of the blue imagination.

I am sorry you feel sour for "early" Titan release, but it will comes as when Nvidia feel like releasing it.

well then you should look how long it took for Titan to release when it was under a new node

it was 11 months IIRC

and when did a Titan ever come out within first 4-5 months of a new gen ? even on a mature node

In all case you can disable AA because if you are seeing some aliaising, you are probably too close of your screen. But AA can still make a interesting difference in 50" and 55" screen, but only if youre sitting enough close of your screen, im still sitting close to my screen and i dont find it necessary at all. I can live with a little aliasing without any problem . For 27" you dont see anliasing at all, dont use it, if you want to play at one inch of your screen you can enable it lol. Even at 40" you dont really need it, you will need to be very close to see aliasing. In all case i disable AA. About display quality, my favorite size was 40", all looks so great and more details. 27" is too small to enjoy 4k in my opinion, it still enjoyable but not so much, pixel are too small for me and windows look crap without scaling. unfortunately I didnt test 32". 40" is the perfect balance. But i still play in my 55" because i love big screen. I dont think i will buy a 8k screen in my life, because even at 4k you have to sit very close to see all details, at 8k i dont want to play only one feet of my 55" to see the details. 4K will suffice for my whole life. I dont think 8k will be a important buying factor in future. HDR is more important than 8k screen. About people playing in 1440p or 1600p , i recommend you to buy a 4k monitor , its still much better , the details are much better, it worth it. I prefer 4k at 60hz than 1440p at 120hz. I cant live without a 4k monitor or tv. The day you will play a pc game at ultra in 4k you wont turning back. I prefer playing a game at 4k at 40-45fps than at 1080p or 1440p at 60fps or more. I love the details that bring 4k resolution, all things you see in your screen become so much perfect, its impressive even today i still impress with a 4k screen. But i know all people prefer differents things, its up to you, i know people that wont play at all at 40-45fps. It bring more motion blur too

I disagree I played on the Acer Predator hb271hk which is superior in every way to the 4k display you game on(Input lag/ Gsync etc.) and it only took me a week to send it back. 4K simply put is just not ready. Even with Gsync and maintaining 60fps things felt laggy and sloppy. No matter the game. Fallout 4, BF4, Doom, Battefront, FCPrimal. I believe are current available DisplayPort tech is whats causing this experience. No matter how strong your PC is and how well designed the Display is the cable struggling to push things along smoothly. In today's market I believe the best available experience in PC gaming is the X34. Unreal immersion, fantastic picture quality and vibrancy along with 100hz and Gsync. I played on a friends this past friday and sent my 4K back today and ordered the X34.
