Also, AMD has nothing out in the range. Why put out a Titan, cut into your 1080 sales

But do we know how well the 1070 & 1080 are moving this QTR? If sales are subpar, I could see Titan P version(s) coming out sooner than later. Nvidia is in the business of Money per QTR regardless.

It thought it was very well known that most of the people, like me, who are awaiting Launch Facts & Specs on the Titan-P were never going to buy 1070's and 1080's in the first place so I don't think you have the Titan owners pegged here, and its also why I'm thinking its not close to a reason why Nvidia would not launch sooner than later.
It could very well be some other business reason, Sales to Govt, Scientific & Supercomputer Contract sales etc, but again, i really don't think it's due to "eating into 1080 sales".
