Core i3 6300 build suggestions

Thread Starter
I'm planning on putting together a budget i3-6300 gaming build and would like to keep it under $500 if possible, i will be reusing my 750Ti video card.

I'm hoping this would be a bit better then my current sig rig.

So far i got this picked out from Newegg, the total is $520.29. And does everything seem compatible with one another? I want to use Win 7 64 Bit on the mobo.

Cpu - i3-6300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117622&ignorebbr=1

Mobo - Gigabyte Mini Itx http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128899&ignorebbr=1

Cooler - Hyper 212 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&ignorebbr=1

Mem - Gskill 2x4gb ddr4 2133 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232241&ignorebbr=1

Psu - Evga 650w http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438059&ignorebbr=1

Case- Corsair Carbide Spec 2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139043&ignorebbr=1

HD - Hitachi 2tb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA5AD2NA9155&ignorebbr=1

Optical - Asus Dvd-rw Sata http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204&ignorebbr=1

Mem card reader - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA10V2GV5046

Thermal Compound - Arctic Silver 5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9PV3Y38184&ignorebbr=1

I am open to any suggestions to lower the cost. I chose that case because i think it looks awesome but mainly because it looks like it has nice cable management.

Thanks anyone who looks over this!

I would pick this one for the same price, enough for mono GPU and you can save 10 bucks after rebate. Also it got a stellar 10 out of 10 from jonnyguru wink.gif

if you can push your budget go for a quad core like :

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo you picked is old and really not all that good anymore nor is it very quiet
The Cryorig H7 cost around the same and is newer and better and more quiet

As said said already you dont need a 650 watt PSU not unless you are going to either have two video cards or BIOS volt mod the single card you have
Last you dont need to buy any thermal compound you get some with the cooler.

Thanks i decided to go with the Cryorig H7 and the i5-6500 also changed the mobo to a gigabyte micro atx and that other psu TUFinside suggested. And added a 128gb ssd.

Also added 8gb more ram so 16gb total now

Total $618.99 A little over buget, but worth it?

Will this new rig beat the brakes off my old one?

Yes it should, now only your GPU will hold you off, save money and in few months go for a H170 and maybe GTX 1050 if Nvidia ever release this. Just to make sure, you got 2x8 Gigs Ram ? Right ?
