Yes, and the next day's newspaper headlines would be:

Its not a big deal, Its not like the first slides of the 1080 were about VR performance. Plus people shouldn't have bought such a cheap VR headset with their 800$ 1080, and who uses HDMI anyway?

(Totally not sarcastic)

Now lets see if this gets a 95+ page thread...something is telling me it wont.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this will fly under the radar as per usual rolleyes.gif

I suppose you're referring to the 95 page thread about AMD cards drawing too much PCI-e power?

Probably because it's a bug that will be fixed eventually with two easy work arounds. (HDMI, DP to HDMI cable)

I'd say a card running out of spec and drawing excess power from the motherboard is a bigger deal but that's just me.

Well if you read up you would know AMD RX480 is out of PCI spec according to reddit. It is killing motherboards and whole systems while not even under a load. It makes way more news worthy material. Its also 100% correct and proven with pictures and everything. I am scared my neighbor might buy one and burn up my pc being near it. The Government should impose an AMD GPU ban immediately or even heck the UN for those outside US. I am really worried about our future with the planet now.

Are you friggin serious?! Lol! ....better recall all those GTX 480's still floating around, oh and those 7990's, oh and more resent cards like 750 Ti and GTX 960 as well, all of which run out of spec, a very conservative spec mind you as well...the fear mongering and drama has hit an all time high! doh.gif

I really hope so....it really wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't though, with the ridiculous clutching at straws anyone and everyone is doing to try and crap on AMD's 'parade' (if you could even call it that).
