Graphics card support bracket:

I'll work on the quality of the photos, right now my camera is being rubbish. Also, using an old radeon for fitting purposes--don't want to ding the 1070 smile.gif

Monitor support plate and VESA mount:

There definitely is that. I thought at first that it would be a pain to have to unplug every peripheral every time you want to move the case until it dawned on my you could just unplug the arrestor. I don't have room for that on the case I'm working on right now but I'm thinking about installing my arrestor (much larger than yours and pretty much full) onto the back of the two drawer nightstand my computer and flatbed scanner are on to get it and the power cables currently on the floor behind my desk into a far more accessible location. Thanks for that idea!

Lessons Learned, Part III:

Switches, soldering, and confined spaces require:

A decent soldering iron, not a Radio-Shack special.
Switches with decent soldering terminals (I'll mod this later with pictures).
Real solder, with decent flux.

Having been trained for mil-spec soldering, I figured I could pound out some decent circuits with what was on hand. Not a good move! Using a rosin core solder (which should work ok, in the right settings), I set about forgetting all that I once knew about soldering. The problems were:

The McMaster large switches had huge thick soldering terminals, which acted like massive heat sinks. The rosin core solder was not prewetting the terminals properly, and half my connections had to be redone because of cold solder joints. The 3 way (ON-ON-ON) switches from Mouser were TINY. Although rated for 6A, the terminals were sized for 26AWG, and I was trying to use 20AWG in a confined space. In addition, when looking up the connection diagram for the switch, a jump wire had to be connected across two of the six tiny terminals.

Long story short--the wiring looks like a bodge job (pictures to come). I hate bodge jobs. New plan?

1. Replace all the switches (except the line power switch) with their quick-connect terminal equivalent.
2. Replace the tiny Mouser 3 position switches with a two position switch of the same size as the other switches. I will now have intake fans options of OFF, ON (CPU PWM 12V), ON (CPU PWM with ~37 ohm resistor) and exhaust fan control of the same type using a case fan header for the PWM signal.

Thank you. It was a big undertaking, but I think I hit the goals I was aiming for at the beginning. On my next build, I think I'll tackle the weight issue, as this is a bit on the heavy side.
