Normal backlight bleed for ROG Swift PG27AQ?

Or would you consider this defective? Just received it today and trying to decide if I should RMA.. but not sure if this is a normal amount of BLB for this monitor? I do need to have a totally dark room to really notice it but it does seem worse than my Dell U2715H IPS though.. Would appreciate your thoughts, thanks.

Back light Bleed like in your picture is not normal at all, and is a defect that is rampant in this monitor. Id recommend you return it and find something else Asus clearly has some serious QC issues.

Ok, shame the monitor is great otherwise, if I return it for a replacement what are the chances I'll get an even worse one? And if you think I should change brand/model, what other 4k IPS do you recommend that is less prone to this issue? I bought this one new from Amazon by the way.

Here's two new pics but with brightness at 40, which suits me anyway (was 80-90 in first pic). Also it seems part of that bottom left bit is glow, as well as the other corners but there is still quite a bit of light bleed in the bottom left as you can see.

You should have posted this in the Asus pg27 thread first of all. Second, I'd return it. Too much BLB for my tastes.

I couldn't find an owners thread for the PG27AQ.

So I'll probably have it replaced for another one (role the dice once again) if there's a good chance I'll get a better one than this. I do like this monitor and want to give them another chance.. mainly cause I want G-sync.

My second option would be to go for the cheaper Dell P2715Q..

Finally got my replacement and it's worse. It's clearly new too, box was immaculate, not so much as a scratch on it. So had high hopes when it arrived. Damn I'm mad...

Not only is there even more yellow backlight bleed on this one but it has a stuck pixel too (the last one didn't). I'm going to get a refund, not sure I want to try my luck with another one.

Can anybody recommend me an alternative 4k IPS Gsync monitor? Does the Acer suffer from the same QC issues?
