1060 is the same as a 980 at stock but consume less power.

I have nothing against the card wink.gif

I get exactly what you are saying.

Would love to see how you came to that conclusion.

Also ive been looking at that zotac mini edition, are there any reviews on that particular card? The heatsink material looks ultra cheap quality kind of like intel uses on stock coolers. The EVGA mini has proper heatpipes and fins.

The lowest custom 1060 MSRP is $249. Which are the cheapest simplest designs. With ASUS, MSI, STRIX, FROZR and the like you're looking more close to $300 or even above.

I looked at RX 480's performance/price, GTX 970/980 price performance vs GTX 1060. I understand GTX 1060 is a new card but this card is seriously limited regarding overclocking and not being able to use SLI.

$300 is a way too expensive even for a custom PCB.

Not really difficult to understand. 5-10% performance over the 480, should cost 5-10% over the 480. If I consider these and the 480 as 1080p cards then the 4GB model is the pricepoint worthy of comparison.
