In DX11, the 1060 is objectively faster. It's in the witcher that they're basically neck and neck. Check hardware unboxed's review of the 1060 and you'll see what I mean.

That review was odd. RX 480's worst showing besides Nvidia's Hardware, excuse me Tom's Hardware.

Objectively about 5-8% faster for 25-50% more money. And that performance advantage will evaporate when you test a 480 that doesn't throttle to 1200 MHz (but so will it's price advantage I suppose). Pretty even cards overall.

Yeah the only game bench i'm really interested in these new cards are for Battlefield 1 although I believe both aftermarket 480's and 1060's will be even in that game too. Unless somehow full optimized DX12 implementation increases the 480 by a large margin.
