DOUBLE EDIT: hard launches don't matter

It still won't matter when they can alternate in producing frames? (I forget what it's called).

I'd imagine that being a bit of a game changer, since it would theoretically scale better?

Nothing will matter except that which our lord and savior JHH Christ excels at and the AMDevil does poorly in. Then when things change the paradigm shall be shifted once again to shine the light on the glory of our lord(like frame pacing).

Not magic but console effect, that's why it's getting better performance in newer titles compared to old. specially console ports.

So? What does that mean exactly? A product/service being offered that's not used by you or many others makes it irrelevant to the people that do use it? Eyeroll indeed. It may become irrelevant, but not yet.

I've actually never understood why SLI/Crossfire wasn't bigger in the low end of things. It's a decent, cheaper alternative to a pricey flagship. I vacillate between the two; either buying one flagship or two-mid tier cards, the second card being an add at a later date.

because old days are gone where oc was the thing nerds used to on cheaper parts to get performance of higher part for free. but now kids have money they can spend on whatever they want.

No offense but so called Enthusiasts/gamers are joke nowadays who know nothing but whatever pr/techmedia says.

and given that, yes, I think matching a stock 980 would be a very respectable level for 1060 now, especially at 192-bit
I for some reason only ever really put much in the leaks and reviews that put it where it went. To be real- if it'dve matched the 980 most of their lineup would be obsolete. Maybe it was since they were adamant it wasn't the 390's replacement and the new high-end card which if it'dve been whether it was $199/$240 or not.

I wish it was gaming sli but... I have places that can use these. Folding 980's push a lot of heat into the room during the summer it's not cool, literally. Folding doesn't require sli so two or more of these in a folding rig getting 300k+ each would save on power bills and reduce waste heat. I also run non sli multiple screens and prefer using the second card on the alt display. But, I may need to skip this card because titan p coming soon.
