Man, so entitled wanting what use to be standard features(SLI, mainstream pricing). Unbelievable.
So go buy one that includes those features lol. Nvidia doesn't owe you *****.
But they owe you a good ****ing.

No offense but so called Enthusiasts/gamers are joke nowadays who know nothing but whatever pr/techmedia says.

Enthusiast these days = those with the most disposable income (and/or least sense devil-smiley-019.gif)

Give me one good non-business related reason why the 1060 shouldn't support SLI when 660, 760, and 960 all had the feature.

Good question, @ChefCheetos. I'd say the 1060 by far, as long as big-box retailers continue sucking up to Nvidia, and this situation is allowed to continue (pic taken at the local Best Buy yesterday):

EDIT: I mislabeled the 1080 spot, which is the $699 SKU above that $279 slot, which was still an Nvidia SKU. Pic updated.

Why wouldn't the 1060 support SLI though? Is it costly for that support in manufacturing? It would use the same drivers as the 1070/1080 right?

The only reason I could see them not supporting it was if it was a large cost with little return. Then, I would wonder how they figured that out. Is it uncommon to SLI mid-range cards? Is it more likely that only enthusiasts do it who purchase the 1070/1080?

I don't understand the point of a 6GB model then. Why would you ever need 6GB on this card? If you can't SLI and it's meant for 1080/1440, then why not just make a single 4GB version?

Same reason there is 8GB on the RX480. Memory is cheap, so why not if it helps the card sell?

This card will be a turd just like the 960.

only reason nvidia not offering sli feature for gtx 1060 it will hurt 1070,1080 sales.
