What a piece of crap nvidia is selling... mad.gif

You do realize no card has all the DX12 goodies right?

Async is required for DX12, AMD have it, Nvidia don't.

also yeah when you have tiago(from epic) saying that they managed to decrease the fps time from 6 ms to 3ms at 1080p and from 10ms to 4 ms on 4k i fail to see any other feature of dx12 that gives significant boost to perf...

Of course pascal have hardware scheduled async compute. Please educate on info provided by them.

No they do not. No Nvidia hardware has Async compute (Async shaders). Dear Leader CEO said that Async wasn't necessary to be DX12 compatible, meaning they simply won't render any DX12 code.

Not having async shaders doesn't mean GPU can't support async compute. It only means it will have lower performance at heavy load.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Emulation isn't just lower performance, emulation is a disaster. If it wasn't we'd be emulating PS3 games years ago. To run async compute you need async shaders, no different than running SSE requiring hardware SSE support.

You are wrong it's not emulation. Even maxwell can do async but it support lesser que size. It's totally different than instruction set on CPU...

Nvidia do not render DX12, it's been shown in AOTS that Nvidia simply ignore any DX12 code. Claiming queue size or whatever isn't going to change this.

Nvidia do not render DX12 ? What did you mean by that?

nvidia has actually preemption that only helps on vr aka async timewrap
it has nothing do with async compute amd and dx12 needs

you could post the 4k one with the regression instead of cherry picking
