GTX 1060 is a good launch. Now AIB for AMD cant charge more then $250 for their cards. Everyone wins. GTX1060 is one impressive GPU and as many of us know about Nvidia GPUs is that they are at their peak when they come out. This is as good as 1060 will look.

NV cards have always done better in WoW but it doesnt matter because you never ever are going to have 100+FPS there where it matters.
Your lucky if you get 60+FPS even.

Try Ashran in a spot where the Ally's and Horde meet up and fight.
You could have a 1080 but still wont go over 60+FPS.

Game is so CPU limited at points in the game that it wont matter if you have a 480 or 1060, both will be CPU bottlenecked.

I play WoW on 1 PC with a 290x and on the other PC with a 980ti.
The 980ti might get 3 to 5FPS more in CPU bottlenecked situations, nothing to write home about.

Because the only times in WoW is when you are raiding? How is this any less relevant than all the people in here talking about dx12 games or vulcan when no one knows how that is going to pan out at all.

To me, WoW and overwatch benches are far more relevant than going on about games that dont even exist, and might never exist.

Card looks good - price is meh, but as expected. Want to revisit the benchmarks when AIB's are released for both. AIB 480's are going to likely match the 1060 and/or beat it.

480 reference just isn't worth a buy right now.

This. In a few months I think the results will be more in favor of the 480.

Either way I'm fairly underwhelmed by both cards at their price points...only thing remotely impressive to me is the 1060's power consumption.

don't mind the usual trolls here. i was saying to them all along that overwatch, wow, diablo, starcraft, csgo, dota2 etc performance is extremely relevant to possible 1060 buyer, they don't care about facts.

true, but not everyone does Ashran or big raids

out in the open with max graphics and max viewing distance, those fps will show

in reality isnt really so ultra settings....
Are you saying Guru3D implied they tested the 1060 with Ultra settings, but only actually used High?
I'm almost thinking the founders edition with CLU and a lapped vapor chamber cooler and modded bios will really make the card shine. It's just unfortunate that crappy of a card is more expensive. The cooler looks pretty cool IMHO
