So far it seems like R.I.P. AMD, 1060 is what RX 480 should have been. AMD failed again, can't even get custom card to market in time. If the 1060s are available easily at $249 they are gonna have a hard time selling any RX 480s at this price range.
Well its an older back then high end card.
Both Nvidia and AMD's high end cards use alot of power and get hot.
Reference 290x was crap but aftermarket one's arent.
My 290x Vapor-X runs 1200mhz +150mV and never goes above 72degrees with a custom (silent) fan profile.
Basicly about the same as my overclocked 980ti.
Sure the 980ti has more performance but its also 3 years newer.
I can only hope my 980ti will last that long.
The 1060 isnt all the 480 should have been in my book.
I reckon OC vs OC they will lickely perform similar with probably an advantage to the 480 on DX12.
AMD just really shot themselfs in the foot for still not having AIB cards out, i really dont get it why they arent here yet.
If they would have AIB cards out they might have been used in these reviews to and this might have looked better.
Why AMD ? Why ?!?
