Thermaltake Core P3 Owner's Club - Page 8

Hi all!

New member here, going to be building my first open-air case tonight! So, so excited. I've got to sell my old PC now. I will make sure I take pictures to make a build post!

New PC Specs:

ThermalTake P3 Snow
ThermalTake 240mm AIO CPU cooler
Asus Z170-A
16GB DDR4-2666 Corsair Vengeance LPX
Samsung EVO PRO 512GB
WD Green 3TB Backup Drive
Toshiba 1TB (I call this the backup-backup drive)
EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (w/ LED's)
Intel i7-6700k
EVGA SuperNOVA GS 650w (Silent edition)

Few questions though!

1) I went with the Corsair Vengeance because it was cheaper and I have been spending a ton of money on this. I could not find too many RGB-LED options out there other than the Avexir and Corsair Dominator LED RAM. Do you guys think it is worth the extra 60$ to have the LED's on my RAM? Any other DDR4 recommendations?

2) Do you guys have any "cool" things you've done to your rig? I saw one guy added an infinity clock. Anyone have cool ideas?

3) I did not go the full water-cooling route, it is too expensive and unnecessary for me. I first was only going to get the 120mm AIO fan from thermaltake but they did not have an RGB option. This is my first time using water-cooling, but this does not really count since it is AIO and does not require me to put together a pump and all that. How are your experiences with the ThermalTake AIO?

4) Should I buy color-coded PSU cables? Any recommendations?

5) I have heard the included PCI-E Riser is problematic. Has it been solved with the P3?

6) How do you like my rig so far?

Thanks all.

Thermaltake AIO riiing has rgb leds
Yes I am aware and I purchased the Riing. But they only offered the Riing in 240-360mm. Do they offer the Riing in 120mm? The 120mm option did not have LEDs
