This model will be available in few variants, but all of them feature the same graphics card — GeForce GTX 1070, and the same CPU — Intel i7 6700HQ. The cheapest variant doesn’t have have SSD. It will cost you 2000 EUR, but of course prices for other regions will be different (and so can the specs).
More importantly, this post from LaptopMedia confirms that NVIDIA is not using M postfix for their mobile Pascal series. Mobile GTX 1070 will also feature 8GB GDDR5 memory (and so does mobile GTX 1080).
A full 1070 in a laptop

That's insane. We now have better than Titan X in a laptop...

Gaming laptops in the last year or so have really become very powerful. Just imagine a 1000$ priced laptop with a GTX 1060 and around GTX 980 performance...

Still more expensive than a comparable desktop, but the main advantage is still there: you can carry it around wherever you go.

Are these still using MXM? The only way I'd buy one is if I could upgrade it.

But this is useless as laptops cant handle the heat or overclock

They'll probably charge more than a grand for that.

x70 cards laptops are usually around 1k-1.2k (With i7,16gb ram,128GB SSD,1TB HDD) after 2-3 months of their release.

A full 1070 in a laptop
Will it desolder/damage itself after continuous 150W GPU use of 1 month? I bet. Just like the older way too power hungry GPUs stuck in tiny laptops. That thing throttles even on Flounder Edition's cooling. If they are going to use the same GPU chip, good luck cooling it and making it last longer than the warranty on the product.

2000 EUR for a laptop is also outrageous. No one buys that, not here, the laptops people buy are around 500 USD excl. tax. Which is about what a desktop 1070 GPU costs alone. Bored at school in class and want to play a game instead? Why the hell do you go there, stay home and play on a proper machine not on laptop.

Having owned a 980m overclocked / over-volted laptop, power draw and heat was never an issue for the GPU. It was only the CPU that I ever had to worry about. A 330w should be plenty and a 240 may even be enough.

Given that the 980m was pulling about 130w stock and 150+ overclocked, the 1080 shows as pulling ~175 average at stock and ~160 for the 1070. No doubt they will most likely be slightly under clocked with lower voltage. Thicker gaming laptops should have no issue.

Edit: The real point of these laptops IMO, is for people strapped on space or that travel and setup camp at their random locations. Using anything like this in a classroom or library is just silly.... Unless lan party.
