Quiting video games and PC's for good... - Page 4

I would sell the rig, and buy a laptop. If you ever feel the need for a little gaming session, an average laptop can easily fill that need.

Good for you Monarch. Yes you are making some generalizations based on stereotypes. I guess the definition of hardcore gamer comes into play here.

Will you want to play games again? Most likely, but is that anytime soon? Who knows. If your rig is good for other things then keep it. If it really is only used for gaming then sell and build another some day when there is a game that gets you excited.

I game maybe one night a week. When I get wrapped up though that night can bleed into the following day where I call in to work. But there is too much life out there for me to live in that world.

Maybe so in most cases, some guys have pretty tight guilds though to be fair. Myself I only game single player. I get quite enough of other peoples body language and eyes on a daily basis, when I get a chance I'd rather read a book or game.

I'll just third that balance is key, and leave it at that smile.gif

Yeah. I think its withdrawal from so many needless meds that makes me seem overly excited. 5 years of heavy narcotic and benzodiazepine dependence can mess you up big time and of course narcotics decrease T by a lot.

Impulsive? Yes, more than before and yet happy and aggressive, but it only benefits me for now.

I bet on average hardcore video gamers have low T.

People here are bitter as hell. Instead of being happy for me, you sound jealous or something...

When you come out with "life" stories etc people will have opinions and will state it just like you did.
We are all different (thankfully) and so you get different opinions, each one just as valid as the other really.

I am completely different then you atm to.
I like to cut myself of socially because frankly i dont like most people.
Shallow contact with people over the internet is perfect for me.

Good PC and good music is all i need.
Screw social status.

To each there own.
Do what you enjoy in life thumb.gif

Hormones change a lot. My close relative had low T before he got it treated like you, and I went the other way (T suppressors, estrogen). However, if I was you, I wouldn't make big decisions too fast (not talking about just selling your PC, also mean bigger life decisions). Your mood and personality will settle a bit more in the forthcoming months (for me it took 12), and maybe then you can make an objective assessment whether you're entirely done with say, gaming. Of course, with your newfound motivation it won't be too difficult for you to work a bit of overtime and buy an even better PC if you do decide to get back. thumb.gif

At any rate, congrats on the raging hormones, it's a lovely feeling to have stuff like that fixed!

Yo, hormones really mess with one's head. A mild hypomania is to be expected, that means his body is responding. I'd be thrilled to have something so fundamental fixed, a thing some people might take for granted.
