Quick overview and comparison to the Revel:

-This mouse is essentially better than the Revel in every way. It just is. As me and Alya were chatting to each other recently, the Revel is (in a literal sense) a poor man's Pro S. Once again, no salt @ Nixeus' effort but I feel as though the Pro S is superior across the board as a physical unit.

-The clicks, scroll wheel and side buttons feel noticeably crisper and more consistent.

-I own the glossy versions of both products. The Pro S actually utilizes a "true" gloss while the Revel's feels like...plastic. Also, the sides of the Pro S are a more premium feeling rubber opposed to the Revel's standard plastic.

-The feet are better (easiest W of all time) and there's an extra set (brb replacing cable w/ CeeSA paracord).

-Neither mouse has any noticeable rattle.

There's not much else to say. The satisfaction level is quite high. I'm sure some of the curmudgeon members here will have their jabs to take on it but trust me, I predict a lot of future owners will be pleased with what DM did with this one. And at the end of the day, the Revel is one hell of a backup. What a time, to be alive.

Is the CPI button really that loud as that video?

Thanks to our members providing their input as they get them. I know other members appreciate feedback.

Now to see what's inside that makes this so different. I think our OCN labs reviewers may have their hands on this already. @qsxcv

Every single problem I complained about with the DM1 Pro has been fixed in the S version, the uneven clicks, the grindy scroll wheel, and the cable in a downward angle scratching up my pad. Lets talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Good:
Sensor feels great, I've been playing Zarya like a beast since I picked this thing up and I haven't noticed any click latency...but I'm playing Zarya so who cares right?
The clicks are not uneven anymore like they were.
Scroll isn't stiff anymore, it's easy enough to push down.
Cable doesn't scratch against the pad anymore.

Cons:
Cable is still braided, but it's not badly braided.
My scroll wheel isn't installed correctly, there's 2 pieces of plastic and then a rubber wheel in the middle, and the right piece of plastic isn't sitting on the wheel correctly.
When it was shipped, it was literally just thrown in a box with NO proper packaging, no bubble wrap, no foam, nothing. My mouse works though so who cares.

Ugly:
The firmware has a problem with DPI color switching, here's a video.
Thank you, Alya! I'm finally pulling the trigger and ordering it. I'm just happy I finally get a working mouse again. I've been using the broken Razer Imperator for way too long T_T

Overall:
While I initially came into this skeptical of the DM1 Pro S because of my uneven clicks in the past, I know for SURE that DreamMachines took what I said into account because they cleared up all of the problems I had, and always reached out to me when I had one. This mouse is a keeper, lacking the build quality issues of the Revel, and fixing those of the DM1 Pro, the feet are great and even come with a replacement set, the clicks are tactile, and it has the best sensor on the market. I didn't notice any latency (both motion and click) but I'll leave that up to others to test, seeing as I haven't encountered a situation with any of the Overwatch heroes I play where (click) latency would be an issue.

I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with what DreamMachines sent me (or did I get a cherry picked copy because you guys know I'm evil? thumb.gif) and it seems I have found my new daily driver. Bye Kinzu v1.

Thank you, Alya!! I'm finally pulling the trigger on this one. I can't stand this broken Razer Imperator anymore T_T

Early days yet, there's time to spark the fire of discontent, we shall all be waiting for it thinking.gif .

Although I'm still waiting for both the DM1 Pro S and Revels to arrive at my place, so it's going to be some time before my claws are shredding these devices.

I usually find problems with my mice in a few hours, even the DM1 Pro I noticed issues with very quickly if you go back to when I first posted about it, this hasn't really given me any reason to complain (yet...) but there's still plenty of time for them to bloom, as you said. thumb.gif
