3D Printed cases

Hello all.

Decided a long time ago that I was not happy with the smallest available cases, and so I set out to design a SUPER compact case. Well, the plan initially was to have a single 120/140mm AIO cooler blowing out for the CPU, stick the PSU in the space now vacated by a heatsink, and use a blower style card to exhaust air. The remainder of the case would have been sealed save for a few suitably sized intakes with fan filters and possibly 1-2 extra fans to help that along. From there, just shrink the dimensions until it is as compact as possible, and attempt to direct airflow over the motherboard/ram and through a secondary HDD tray. I think it will work, but overclocking may be out of the question.

Fast forward a couple of years, and my initial design isn't entirely feasible thanks to my recent 6700k build and decision to use a 280mm rad. Ideally, I would like to test this with existing components and I sold my 3770k rig so that's out.

That said.

Surely there have been a few novel 3D printed cases in the last couple of years since I looked into this. Anyone have any links? Tips? Information? Suggestions? Let's talk about it.

The issue with 3d printed cases is:
1. They take forever to print on a consumer level printer. Even on a faster industrial printer, they take forever.
2. Using consumer FDM printers, the quality isn't very good.
3. It is expensive to 3d print.
