Pushing high framerates isn't very easy,it shifts from being dependant on the GPU to the CPU.

Overwatch is CPU light though.

This is what my 290x gets at 1200/1500

You are getting what you should get

The biggest performance hitters in Overwatch are Local Fog Detail, Shadows, Render Scale, and Reflection Quality.

Yeah run a 60hz monitor(or 90 etc) if you want to run at max or near max graphics settings. If you want to run 144 you'll need to run with mixes of medium/high/ultra(or whatever) depending on the setting.

There you go you forced me to do this on stock speeds on an old 2600k, hardly broke a sweat.

So Samzon you could overclock that beast, get some faster ram or at least better timings and your good.

He tested Heaven not Valley.

Ok then I did some Heaven tests! and this is at stock 2600k/ti

and this is my everyday 4.8ghz ti 1490/7940

Now Samzon see if you can pass it with an overclock!

You need a 1080 to run minimum 150fps at 1080p using maxed out effects tongue.gif

Nothing light about that! Look at that fps boost when overclocking.

Perhaps I misunderstood 😃

I might be wrong here (half drunk) but why is your ram running at 1069 MHz?

X2 so it's 2133 mhz. Very slow RAM.

The 2.5ghz 6700k is achieving 186fps avg, 135 min - so it's not plausible that a ~4ghz+ 6700k would be dipping FPS into the double digits. I've played myself with a 6700k @4.6ghz and i can keep average FPS right around the 300 cap though the slowest 1% of frametimes are more like 200-250'th of a second
