Build Question Here

Thread Starter
I have a question about my next build.
First here is the list of parts I have laying around.
i5 4670K (delid), 2x4gb DDR3 2400 (planning on getting another set) and 2 R9 285.
Ok now for my question.
I would like to use M2(x4) SSD and maybe both of my R9 285.
Would it be better to rebuild my i5 rig or buy a new cpu (i7 5820K), because I will be using 38 PCI-e lanes if I use both cards and M2?

You could just rebuild your I5 machine just make sure the board in which you have or pickup for it has sli support but also runs a pci slot in x4 along with it, generally the user manuals online have all the info specifically so you can narrow it down better once you find a few you like. as long as you can find a board to do 8x sli and have 1 normal pci slot at x4 your good. hope this helps.
