Why would anyone want to swap an 8350 for a 6100 even up, let alone throw money into the deal? That's suspicious.

True, but any Bulldozer is power-hungry, and if that's the concern, all you have to do is lock down a module and undervolt the 8350, and you'd have a vastly better hex-core AM3+ CPU than a 6100 would be.
OP: If you really have found someone dumb enough to trade you a working 8350 for a 6100, and pay you to do so on top of that, do it. Run, don't walk. They might sober up if you wait. Edited by jsc1973 - 7/9/16 at 8:21pm
