Mice with no sensor lens rattle?

Of the mice that have a "modern" sensor (3310, etc), which ones don't have many problems with lens rattle and/or build quality in general? There is obviously no perfect 100% ratio on any mouse, but the higher the better. It's a little silly that mice with good sensors have the lens rattle that make them unusable. I understand this can usually be fixed, but replacing the mouse feet can sometimes be sub optimal depending on the mouse, or even the feet used if they aren't of the same brand. Risking damage is another thing, and also laziness is a factor. I'm currently using a g303 that has the lens taped down to the shell, and had the replacement feet as cut outs from the extra feet that came with a zowie mouse with some tape to even out the height. The tape is wearing off inside the mouse, and the lens has a very slight rattle again. It's still usable, but I think it would be nice just to know what mice are out there that aren't any obscure form of a maraca.

Tried with this instead of tape?

The g100s doesnt have any rattle but I guess you dont count it as a modern sensor.

I guess another more valid reason to not want a mouse that has rattle (even if it's fixable with things other than tape) is I want a perfectly consistent feeling. If I get a mouse, I will aggressively wear it out as fast as the mouse can handle and will need another one. If I'm using a mouse that doesn't have rattle, when I pick up a replacement or move to a spare, I won't have any time readjusting or need put in the effort to fix it.
A more specific and personal question that has less to do with the start of the thread: What mice don't have rattle that have the capability of running either 750 or 1100 dpi? I'm unsure about the shape/clickers on the g900, and the rival is probablymaybe too big for me. Obviously zowie mice cannot achieve these numbers.

And if you never plan on opening the mouse in question, just superglue it to the shell with some tiny dabs.

"For improved ESD performance, the lens flange can be sealed (i.e. glued) to the base plate. Note that the lens material is polycarbonate and therefore, cyanoacrylate based adhesives or other adhesives that may damage the lens should NOT be used."

Also, you are supposed to get the lens as close to the sensor as possible. If it is rattling, there is a gap. If you glue it to the base plate, the distance between the sensor and the lens is longer which may result in non-optimal tracking. I would rather use something to push the lens towards the sensor itself or tape the lens to the PCB (with non-conductive tape). It is true that then the gap is longer between the lens and the surface but that most likely affects the tracking less in comparison.

OT: Thank you OP for mentioning sensor lens rattle. It really grinds my gears (biggrin.gif) when people call it "the sensor rattle". thumb.gif

Are there any glowing examples in newer/good mice that have the lens close to the sensor?
