Best 27" 1440p IPS Monitor under 500€?

I read here around on the forum that LG 27MB85R-B should be the best purchase, but it's quite anonymous on the internet and rare to find on stores in my country. The best price I can find is 475€ shipping included, but for just 415€ I can get the Asus PB278QR from Amazon. Since these monitors are a real pain when it comes down to IPS Glow, I don't feel like I want to risk going with a store which is not Amazon. Maybe I'm missing other better alternatives?

Thank you for your comment. When I receive it, what are the steps I should follow to check everything is ok?

Make sure there is no backlight bleeding which i am sure it will have but not too much. It is pls. Make sure trace free is at 40 that way gaming will be great. Other than that everything will be fine. Adjust colours and saturation to your liking.

Main issues are:

Backlight bleeding - as in light coming in from behind, turn off the lights, put a black image, do you see light coming from the borders?

Clouding - disconnect your monitor from GPU, turn off the lights do you see cloud like lighter spots?

IPS Glow - Differs from Clouding as it "moves" when you move your head. Always present to some degree

Color banding - Rare, more common with old LCD, do an online test

Dead pixels - Do online test

Burn in - Typical of monitors that display static images for a long time, no way in hell your new monitor should have it

Ghosting - Hard to explain, take a look online, common cause is monitor cable

Finally check color gamut and grab an ICC profile from the net and enjoy your new monitor.

Cheers
