Dream Machines DM1 PRO S Giveaway - Matte or Glossy with PMW3360 Sensor - Page 3

Next ideas (original): Cable pointing upwards,.
detached mouse 1 and 2 buttons for rigid, crisp high quality clicks.
Of course, optional software (but still strictly plug and play). Must not run in background if closed.
Different shapes to rival different mice. For example, rival 300 shape, ergo shape etc.
White coloured mouse,
Slight subtle 'pointy edges' to help pick up mouse (like Zowie)
Experimentation with different feet (ceramic etc.)
More than one dpi button (two instead) under scroll wheel
Tilt wheel if free spin wheel can't be implemented.
Slight finger groove on certain shapes (like g9x) for finger stability, only if subtle and makes sense. Won't work well on Sensei shape though.
Minimal debounce for minimal click delay
screws not under mouse feet.
Small wire 'cube' that acts like a mouse bungee included, check out the z

My name idea: Dream Machines DM1 Revenge

Revenge on companies with bad mice.

What makes a mouse good?
Light weight but not feel cheap, solid shell
No compromises on sensor, go all out on the best (3360 currently)
Non stiff braided cable, braided is OK if its flexible and can't be felt with mouse bungee (for me)
Good sensor implementation with or without software
Good sensor placement (center and align with where your fingers are)

That said there are so many basic mouse clones out there. My main game is a mmo so I prefer mice like the g600 and the naga. In that genre there aren't as many options. Ideally 10 side buttons with a shift option in addition to the standard mouse configuration. Oh and pinky grip to apply counter force to the thumb.

Thanks ;-)

DM Mini Pro. Offer a smaller version of the DM1 Pro S for smaller hands. Kinzu size with side buttons. Maybe offer multiple colors in the gloss. I truly like black, but some people love eye candy. Get rid of the braided cable.

I will give you what my dream mouse would be and I think it's something a lot of other people would be looking for as well. A MOBA/MMO mouse but without a ton of buttons..so

It would have an optical sensor, 3360
Ambidextrous shape, just because I dislike ergo shapes.
9 buttons....the 2 main buttons, scroll click, 4 buttons on the left side and 2 right under the scroll wheel. Thats enough for MOBAS and enough for most MMO activities that would require a quick click, interrupts, reflections etc.

It would truly be an all purpose mouse that would be equally comfortable playing an MMO, MOBA or an FPS.

Name? DM3 MOBA would probably be the simplest and most accurate.

Is there a per unit manufacturing price limit that we have to keep in mind for our suggestions? Like $10?

An idea, a feature allowing unscrew mouse screws on the bottom without peeling mouse feet off so, you won't need to buy so many new mouse feet if you like to play around with opening mice....

What makes a gaming mouse good?

Detachable replaceable rubberized cable
Swapable clicky omron micro switches (20mln clicks)
Free spin mousewheel feature
Top end optical sensor
Option for side buttons
Balanced weight (90to110g)

DM Pure!

No gimmicks, like unnecessary lights, weights etc., just pure performance for competitive players and benchmark geeks. smile.gif
Keep it low weight and with a reasonable shape and a thin-ish cable. Also all settings saved on the mouse itself, no software on the PC.
The only "extra" feature I really like to see on mice is a single CPI switch, because it comes handy when I temporarily need a lower sensitivity sometimes, mostly when editing pictures and such.

(Mind you, there's nothing wrong with releasing gimmicky products, like Logitech has been doing lately with their "spaceship" designs, there's money to be made there. But you can also release other products at the same time.)

Oh right, that reminds me: Castor-like install-free software.
