Surround audio setup using Single dedicated Amp and DAC

Thread Starter

Ive been trying to figure out a way NOT to buy a new receiver(I have a really nice H/K 430 Twin[1975], it uses Spring loaded terminals and RCA Connections).

So Ive been looking at getting this Amp: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F0H8TOC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1V0149CC6WCAD |

As well as this DAC: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019Y5TR6O/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A35BNGCBY7FYWI.

My problem is, I plan on setting up "Semi"(Please dont cringe, I dont want a subwoofer as I live with other people)  Surround system using a pair of Fluance AVBP2 Surround speakers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00067OLOS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_9?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1WPEQCN6WJKZG

A Pair of their bookshelf speakers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IEDL8EM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1WPEQCN6WJKZG |

And their Center-channel speaker: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Y34U4D2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1WPEQCN6WJKZG

The DAC and Amp only have on set of R/L Inputs, My question is: Could I get a R/L RCA to x1 Splitter(Like this: https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Premium-Stereo-Female-Plated/dp/B003L14XTO/ref=pd_sim_23_9?ie=UTF8&dpID=315dQ61Vh2L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=PHNA3J60N87R572YY3WQ) and connect the Both R/L of one set to Right-Channel of the Amp and repeat the same for the Left-Channel, so In theory I'd have up to 4 Sets of speakers?

Im pretty sure you CAN, but it will associate the balance of those speakers to explicitly the right/left side, I can think of a few issues that this might cause, but I dont have as much practical experience as some, so I need some help!

Thanks.

I wouldn't waste my time with the chinese junk.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-VSX-516-K-Black-7-1-100-Watt-per-Channel-Home-Theater-Receiver-/291815574370?hash=item43f1904b62:g:qmIAAOSwRgJXgrKC

You can find these for $50 and they kick @$$

I have one that I have used for over 8 years with alesis studio monitor speakers on all 7 channels. It's a great piece of equipment.

It has enough power to shake my house with no subwoofer.

It has an amazing DAC that will blow away the chinese junk on the internet.

The S/PDIF port is labeled "CD", can you still use at as in input from your PC's Onboard Audio/Sound card?

Absolutely, that's exactly what I do.

The sound quality is excellent from this thing man I can't stress that enough. I've run everything from optical from my PC to analog from a technics turntable into mine and it never ceases to amaze me
