I stand corrected.
Number of units on screen doesn't imply much of anything about the graphical complexity of a scene. Maybe the AI and physics, but these aren't typically run on the GPU.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was accurate. Fiji has the most imbalanced shader to front-end ratios of any GPU in recent memory and should benefit a lot from anything that gives better utilization.
