so you saiyan it only took them 3 years to catch up in a few games

*slowclap*

I gotta ask, back when you decided to join, did you consider "ILeakStuff" as a username before deciding on ChevChelios. You guys seem to be cut from the same cloth, so don't mind me asking.

Based on that benchmark the 290x is most likely 5-8% off a 980Ti and 1070.

Another interesting thing is that Hawaii (Hawaii/Grenada) started competing with the GTX780. There were many times the 970 was faster than the 390X/290X where they would be 35-40% faster here than the 970 here and consuming the 980 easily also.
The 290 and 290X originally competed with the 780 and if this type of thing keeps up...780<780Ti/970< 980< 980 Ti /1070

You should leave the guy alone. At first I didn't like his posts one bit, he was even the 1st (and only) person I blocked on this forum b/c I think he often doesn't see reason, but AMD threads would be boring w/o him. Who would we discuss and argue stuff with?!

3 years and still getting love, unlike certain someone "cough" Kepler, Maxwell.

Hmmm, this makes the Fury X on newegg for $399 an interesting solution.

Should I do it? Who decides my fate?
Its just unprecedented. My 290x is almost 3 years old.

The shill catch-frase of the moment (it took 3 years for AMd cards to perform) doesn't really apply. The 290x always performed. And keeps performing. Look at those graphs. Its insane.
