Did anyone bother asking why Async only works for certain settings?

But at least reviewers should know for the future. If Async isn't enabled on DX12/Vulcan games/benchmarks then it either doesn't count, or it's Nvidia's fault rolleyes.gif

So people pointing out that there's nothing "fishy", or no conspiracy because the others weren't using Async somehow turns into a GW Nvidia victim post?

Logic. thumb.gif

So bitter. As if it's AMD's fault that id limited Async Shaders to TSSAA for now.

yes those reviews are invalid because those options are there to show gains. and if you disabled them what's the point ?

The point is that DX12/Vulkan =/= Async.

But I guess none of these benchmarks are valid because ID themselves have stated they are working with Nvidia on implementing Async on Nvidia cards. Until we have async enabled on Nvidia gpus, this is all pointless... rolleyes.gif

1 year is nothing for AMD peeps.

Worst comes to worst, I guess we could always just stick to OpenGL for Doom.. which still provides better framerates according to Eurogamer. But why do that when Vulkan gives 15fps over OpenGL and 25fps over the Fury X? sleepsmiley02.gif

wat, you know furyx's replacement isn't here right ? 1 year old gpu. compare it to it's competitor 980ti, and furyx beats it by 7.5%. lol nobody buys new gpu for only 1 game.

what a way to compare things. tongue.gif

Ok, keep selling it, maybe nvidia will find enough money to fund async drivers for it.
