Also, care to guess how much nVidia gained with async in Aots with 1080?

I dunno, ask ID software. They're the ones who are saying it. thumb.gif

It's funny how they can say that Async is coming for other AA options in the future.. and it's YAY. But when they say they are working with Nvidia on implementing Async, it's.. yeah right. rolleyes.gif

Care to guess which card has the highest performance in AotS?

Bu but lower settings am I right? The engine isn't rendering everything properly on Nvidia.. rolleyes.gif

It's always something isn't it?

Forget 1080/1070 and then talk. they don't have competition yet. so ofc they will be faster.

Sometimes I get the feeling that some of the nVidia high end card owners actually pay through the nose, though not in blood but in brain cells...

I get that... but the 1080 and 1070 are here now. When AMD gets their (four stars) together they'll be dealing with the next Nvidia gpus.

Nah, that's buying an AMD card and getting performance you should have got day 1 on day 1095...

Funny to watch remji get all worked up over nvidia versus AMD. Dude you are borderline hitting weirdo territory by how upset you get. No one cares about these internet arguments, go play your games and be happy with your card.

and they will have answers for both 1080/80ti.

I dont even know why you argue. Some results was with Async compute on and TSSAA meanwhile the gamegpu one was with SMAA and some user argued that the computerbase results looks fishy because of the difference in performance.

I dont care if the fury x wins by 50% 100% or 10%. Just compare the same things and stop fighting like fanboys.

Oxide also said the same thing about working with nVidia to implement async for Maxwell. Almost one year later I'm still waiting for that magical Maxwell async driver, so yeah.

1080 gained a whooping 2.8% from async in AotS, and sadly this is with me cherry picking the best case scenario.

1080 is 13.5% faster than Fury X in AotS, but that's like saying 680 runs circles around 6970, which really isn't saying much.
