Temporary Case Order Suspension [Canceled] - Page 12

Will 'nude' (ie bare metal) be added as a possible color option? Even with the expanded bullet colors, the possible colors are not enough ... I know a certain Mrs Ruff that wants something more 'aqua'.

Bare would give me the option of finding someone local without having to remove the old paint first.

These Prismatic Powders applicators in your area are certified to apply the three CL powdercoats and also can find Mrs. Ruff a very nice aqua. smile.gif

So you're saying the original powder coating does not need to be removed before changing colors, just powder coat over the existing finish?

Case Labs used to have primer as an option.

Wouldn't there be a potential for a possible bleed through if you just sprayed and baked over the original finish though?

Sometimes most of the time its bright colours that will bleed through to help prevent it we normally do a quickhot coat to melt the powder then let it cool down a little and do another coat over the top

PPCS owner advised me NOT to purchase the white fins and he is refusing to accept any more of them.

So I went matte white with black fins.

I didn't want to be the one to tell you. redface.gif

Who were you in contact with? We did speak with PPC's and there is no mention of any performance issues with these radiators. The matter is purely cosmetic. There is only a single coat applied on all the fins and the internal processes haven't changed.

Someone has either been misquoted or has completely misunderstood things.

As per our communication with PPC's regarding any reported performance issues with the white painted radiators:

"Not that I know of. I dont think he has even contacted us..never heard anything from Duke about this."

If there were any performance issues reported, we would have gotten wind of it. Hope this clarifies things for you and everyone else.

I'll save a few friendships here, and take one for the team on this one. redface.gif

My mistake? I should have informed Mr. Ruffhi via private message, since the information provided to me was also "obviously" private. I did not realize that until now.

We will be doubling production capacity over the next 60 days. It was quite a trick to pull that off with the constraints we had, but well worth the effort. Heavy machinery will be in transit soon and we’re making major modifications to the production area for all of it as well as an expanded powder coating line.

We have started the process of bringing in additional personnel and training them as well as an additional production supervisor.

Finally, we will begin implementation of a new ERP system to better manage production and scheduling. It will take some time to have fully operational, but is an essential item if we are going to continue to grow. The old system clearly failed us when we were seeing a rapid rise in orders.

This was a major commitment for us, but we are determined to provide the best service we can. None of this is an overnight fix, but we should start seeing significant improvement in Q4 of this year. Quick-shop cases are expected to return by November, possibly late October. We still don’t have a time frame for custom orders. In order to work without the issues we experienced in the past, they will have to be successfully integrated into the new ERP system so that we have an accurate picture of inventory and workload requirements.

I very much appreciate all the support we have had from the community. We’ll do our very best to earn that every day. Thank you!

Great News Jim and I wish success on the whole process of scaling up.

Anytime you paint fins you will have a performance hit. Each layer of paint adds a hit, but for what we are doing it does not affect anything!! With enough layers of paint you can actually start insulating.. Just simple TD
