Well, it's the end of week 6 and yesterday, I received an email from CL notifying me that it will be another two weeks. It sucks, but not unexpected, all things considered. I'm still not exactly sure what my $680.00 bought me, but this discussion regarding the case order suspension tells me that I have purchased a product that is clearly in high demand. The simple math of the issue is, if people are willing to drop $600.00 - $700.00 for a PC case, CL will continue to fabricate them, albeit in smaller quantities than the big Taiwanese manufacturers and I am fine with it. High end products are always limited. I shoot extremely high end 1911 pistols, fabricated and assembled by hand. Lead times can be anywhere from 3 months to a year! But, if the brand that I prefer, were to suddenly outsource ANYTHING to say, a far east country or maybe Central America, they would compromise their name and I would surely not be purchasing from them ever again. In the world of 1911's I can actually talk to the guy that machined my weapon as well as the guy that assembled it. It's this kind of dedication and access that makes the eye popping high prices worth it. Quality and accountability.
