12 July... still waiting for review sigh frown.gif

there is plenty of headroom on 6pin.

you can easily handle 150 watts on 6pin.

out of spec, but there is still plenty of headroom.

The extra 2 pins are grounds are just to decrease resistance to help out the VRMs. they arent electrically manditory.

unless of course you have a cheap ass pre pcie 2.0 powersupply.

The 6 pin was never really in question anyway, the power draw issue was from the PCI-E slot. Also, undervolting pulls less power, so again the 6 pin isn't an issue. I have a GTX 960 with a 6 pin and it had some drama around it with power spikes also, but I've been running it OC'd for over a year on an older P55 mobo and have never had an issue. I really think the whole RX 480 problem was way over-dramatized imo.

Anybody know anything about a standard height non-ref? I need to fit this card in an OEM case and have limitations with the height but would like to avoid the underwhelming ref cooler.

Based on the pictures I've seen, they don't seem to different height wise than reference. Length is another story, though.

On the gigabyte g1 gaming is the orange on the bottom led as well or is that painted?

Whoops, I actually meant width, as in the coolers go past the pcie bracket. My mistake
