I'm after a 250GB SSD for games and was wondering should I go for the Sandisk Ultra 2 or Samsung 850 EVO SSD?

Assuming both are the same price the 850 is much better overall hands down, what is the price difference? I mean for games both would be fine, any ssd would be a boost over a hdd, it normally matters more for cost and what people want to spend.

The Sandisk Ultra 2 is £53 ($68) and Samsung 850 Evo is £73 ($94)

If its just for games and such i would go for the Sandisk and save yourself some money. The performance difference wont even be that noticeable with games if at all.

Either way you shouldn't notice much of a difference (if any) in the performance of a game. Gaming doesn't really rely on the storage's performance for anything else but the loading times (FPS and graphics aren't affected). Only games such as MMOs or Open World may have their surrounding textures load faster or smoother but again that won't affect the texture quality nor the FPS so you could even be better off with a HDD (unless you are specifically avoiding them).

Feel free to ask if there are any questions!
