Thread Starter
Mine has not had the problem anymore since I removed the MSI Gaming App.
I still run Afterburner with no issues now since I updated this thread 2 weeks ago. smile.gif

I left pc on idle 4-5 days and problem with throttled clock due to PWR limit started. Restart pc to fix this. I left again pc but this time for 3 days in idle and nothing happened. So i think 3 days are not enough smile.gif

card is Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme stock clocks, no OC.

2 days was enough here to retest, afterburner dev was right.

I loaded up heaven bench, clock capped to 1671 again (which I think is base 3d speed for palit game rock premium).

With bench running I dropped power limit to 112%, bam instantly proper clocks and power again, then put back to 114%.

So a reboot is not needed, just power limit needs reapplying.

I sent a bug report of to nvidia about 12 hours ago.

yeah it happened once after 4-5 days idling. When i left pc for 3 days its not enough in my situation. Weird. Also i dont using Afterburner, only GPUZ and FRAPS.

What was your perfcap reason? PWR 30% limit? What is your drivers? My 368.69

This is my screen:

No happened again since 2 weeks.

I dont know what reason it gives, I will check next time, but it seems gpu boost turns itself off as it sticks to base clocks.

I have reported this to nvidia but they acting dumb.

drivers are 368.95 but it also does it on the earlier release drivers.

Weird. Happened to me again. I left pc in idle for 4 days. And again throttling occured, like on screen: ( even memory get throttled ).

Did you experienced memory throttle too?

+ get weird spikes in clocks in idle

Pc reboot fixes again.
