I'll try and get this done for you today. It might only be a 5 minute run or so in DM, but I'm sure that should be enough to have some conclusive results. I'll try and get a screenshot when I get that lag in DM that I said i was able to notice.

would anyone using afterburner check this out for me. I get some ultra weird frametime readings in witcher 3. I just did a short ~10-15 min run @100hz ULMB and I can see frametimes spiking really high 3-4 times during that period.

I haven't noticed even the slightest stutter during the gameplay so I thougt this has to be when I opened the character menu. So I jumped into the game again, and the character menus get the same 9-10ms reading in OSD like during the gameplay, no lag, fully responsive,no funny business. However, when I closed the game and lookd at afterburner monitor the period of time I tested in the game menu was again covered in frametime spiking up to 120ms. Is this a reading bug, does anyone have the same one ?

why to go nvidia poor show ...the way where meant to be played...

sry guys n girls just frustrated at the moment but did hold off going into full rant mode but TBH the 1080 i am using here right now will not able me to go into full rant mode as it can not keep up with what i type on here so at least the 10 series cards are full rant mode free biggrin.gif
I can get 1060, 1070, probably 1080 too, prices are about $259, 1070 the usual $400+ coz of AIBs and a kidney for 1080. But they actually are available more than custom AMD cards.
In EU.

I found this guy on the GeForce forums. He also had some gnarly effects from the 1080 in CSGO. We both regret buying this card at this point.
Don't worry you can donate them to me as scrap. biggrin.gif

Though what I would find hilarious is when AMD would launch Vega and offer a free swap to 10xx owners, send in NV card and get a similar performance/cost AMD card lachen.gif
Come on AMD, that would be a hit!

But no, they will take another 6+ months before they launch their Vega frown.gif

The shills can't speak against NV, they would lose their $hill.

With a $1 shaker made in PRC.

Hotfix driver is causing massive issues as soon as I open OBS, so it's worthless to me.
And I was thinking of buying one because they are actually more available and cheaper than custom 480 frown.gif
Thanks for reminding me.

As long as a single reviewer which is using NV card to play games or works with audio isn't affected to the point it cripples their game or work they won't bother to investigate because they have no system to investigate since not everyone is affected. The least they could do though is update their reviews and publish news that bring this important issue to the spotlight and make people aware that NV 10xx and still some 9xx suffer from beyond crappy DPC latency driver issue that hasn't been fixed for years and it ruins gaming performance in terms of smooth framerates and overall system responsiveness, not everyone is affected the same way, some less some more, but people should be aware of that toss of a coin when buying an NV card and be ready to return it if it messes up their system or willing to wait next 2 years for a driver patch.

I got a notification that the cheap $259 1060 is in stock, I could buy it again and have it tomorrow. But do I want to with all these driver issues? Hell no. It's a good card, maybe not as good as 480 in some ways but a fast card right now nonetheless but these driver issues that never end with NV are not something I want to deal with.

Agree

But i f i was in your shoes and had to choose then 480 non ref all the way for many other reasons not just DPC ....the 480 is showing better results in dx12 never mind doom in vulkan that is an amazing gain... I tested last week the 480 vs the 1060 it is a much better card well there drivers in terms of dpc staying well below 80us with tweaks and this was not even the graphics driver but the nic driver peaking at 80us

Hardocp does dpc tests on all their motherboard reviews. I think it's clear now this is needed for most hardware related to gaming/video+audio editing etc.
