Back to Win 7, Titan X mod @1460/7900, 2.18v. Smooth as glass.

3 people reporting issues with G1 Pascal cards, the same card that's giving me these issues, I think I'm starting to see a pattern here, the two people who said are not having this issue have MSI Pascal cards.

The issue is the driver re power management power states

Just awaiting for the new driver from nvidia

tested a amd 480 today in the same system and that ran fine too ...

What card do you have? I have all C states disabled and always running on high performance and yet I still have this issue.

That's curious thinking.gif

Too few to draw a conclusion though, we need a poll.

Im without issues and with a G1 Gaming 1080

if its driver or system/software related then card manufacturer doesnt really matter

That is a reference board like the G1. Maybe it is a reference vs. custom issue instead of brands.

I was having some of the issues you speak of. This was before the problem was exposed on Nvidia's site that I noticed it and I ended up fixing the issue somehow. What I did do was go into Device Manager, went to View and checked Show Hidden Devices. I deleted all hidden devices under Sound, video and game controllers, under Display adapters and under Network Adapters. I disabled Nvidia HD audio (or whatever it is called). I also uninstalled Nvidia Experience. Not sure what fixed it because I did all those things in one sitting, but all my issues are gone now. Be worth a shot if you haven't tried any of that yet.

System fully stable endless use

Worked perfect with the last card which was an 980 ti xtreme no dpc issues all so tried a amd 480 today same again no problems as soon as the 1080 go's back in its DPC lag time ...

had the same Win 7 on this pc for over 2 half years now and with endless amount of cards in n out but its a test gaming rig and to prove a point if you keep the os tucked & trimmed no need to reinstall all the time like madman on amphetamine....

One thing i have not done as of yet is test the 1080 g1 bios will try this later
