I was mostly talking about Klocek's measurements. I don't think the 70 microseconds his drivers were producing are enough to warrant the purchase of a dedicated NIC. Though, obviously, i have no qualms with any of you buying one. I just figured that, since i'm reading this (and somewhat invested in the resolution of the problem in regard to Nvidia's drivers), i'd pitch in and give my assessment.

If your drivers really are causing you trouble, sure, i can't see why you shouldn't invest.

most people dont have any audio/gameplay issues with 1070/1080, its unfortunate that your system does

thus either sell the Pascal or wait the driver

I have already fixed it through means that a standard user should never have to go through, nor will be able to. And since you love Nvidia so much you should in fact be pushing Nvidia to speed up fixing this issue before, God forgive, people begin swapping to AMD, especially those who work with Video/Audio and/or are sensitive to microstuttering on high FPS/Hz.

And stop with the worthless suggestions, you're not helping anyone, not like that was ever your objective though.

Besides, i don't see how an extra layer of both hardware AND software would ameliorate the problem. CPU usage with modern onboard NIC's is negligible.
lol tell me about that wink.gif I can get sucked into things like that pretty easily tongue.gif
when I was picking up a PSU I got so into comparing tiny mv differences in ripple supression that I ended up spending 3x what I initially planned, including a power bar that cost me as much as a decent PSU that would probably be fine for my needs at that time biggrin.gif
Been there, done that (with my custom loop). I ended up spending WAY more than i needed to to get the results i wanted. Needless to say, i won't be making the same mistake this time around.

No one is salty here except you. You've displayed impressive amounts of ignorance and indifference at problems Nvidia themselves have even managed to acknowledge.

I added a 240, and a bunch of high speed GT/Vardar fans just to squeeze maybe 2-3C out of that delta T.

Then a few months later I decided to just run the fans at a constant 1000 rpm, because running all the fans 100% meant I had to have noise cancelling earphones on all the time since the computer was quite literally roaring. arrowheadsmiley.png

exactly. if you ever encounter a problem you don't wanna see ppl claim it's non-existent just cause they don't have it or they aren't bothered to the same extent you are.

How? He's spot on.

So is the issue fixed? No more stutter or still waiting for a driver patch? I don't follow the official Nvidia forum thread dedicated to this issue, they've acknowledged it but no fix yet?
No and its not going to make it into the next driver either. Should be in the following driver with an outside chance of a hotfix driver before then.
