the other peeps are having issues at 144hz the reason i ask you what Hz

Do you mean Bios Update for the graphics card? Because I doubt my 2 year old Mainboard will get any Bios updates anymore.

Even with my 980ti i cant reach that level of latency

By latency problems, I need very low latency times because I play racing simulations and need quick reaction times. I see this looks like an Nvidia problem in general? Should I switch to AMD?

Nah dont worry.
You can get a low latency PC with a Nvidia card in your system to.
With Nvidia cards you just need to tweak a little to get it low, AMD is basicly plug and play. (offcourse you can do the same tweaks when you have an AMD card to)
Nothing that should hold you back as a regular gamer.

This issue with 10xx series card will be fixed to, i'm sure off it.

My PC with a 980ti here:

Thats really not that bad, just needed a bit of tweaking.

Hi everybody ! I found a good solution to fix the dpc latency problem that the card power management causes wink.gif .

The advantage of this tweak is that your card will still work on the 3D profile which allows the higher frequency whatever the load so gpu increased performance especially on older games wink.gif

The disadvantage of this tweak is a higher power consumption because your card even at rest will stay on his profile 3d, therefore there will be an increase in temperature so I advise you to do a custom profile for better cooling your card at rest.

For maniacs like me who like to have a PC that turns hair here are the steps to follow:

1: Press the Windows key + R and type regedit.exe

2: After opening the windows registry head over to this location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Video

3: In the video you will find several key locked you need to locate a key called 0000 you should have no trouble finding the there are tons of other values in

4: Once the 0000 key spot you will need to create 5 new values dword 32 I put you a screen with the 5 values in blue

http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=472221Sanstitre.png

5: Once the values entered in the register doing a reboot of your pc.

And sorry for my bad english frown.gif

I tried this tweak that was posted from you -> https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-7-windows-vista-tutorials/5721-how-diagnose-fix-high-dpc-latency-issues-wpa-windows-vista-7-8-a.html

But I don´t get any popup window when I type xperf %userprofile%\Desktop\trace.etl. When I open trace.etl myself then I can´t get the DPC CPU Usage window. My whole program looks different than in that instruction.

Actually it looks like this and as I runned heaven benchmark, I had 2 big stutters as it was running the F9 Benchmark.

@harney

Where can I find Palit Bios updates?

You dont have to go through all the hassle, here some easy things you can do:

Use Latency Mon to see wich drivers cause most latency.
Try different drivers for the ones that give a big latency.

Disable HPET.
Disable Hyperthreading
Disable C-States
In Windows power option set minimum processor state higher so you dont throttle to under 2000mhz (have mine thottle to 3200mhz even)
In NV control panel set Power mode to maximum performance.
Dont use DSR.

Things like this lower latency a bit but they wont make these spikes from the NV driver go away though.

Most VGA bios can be found here:

Damn you are absolutely right! The problem only happens on Chrome! In the internet explorer there is nothing. I have deactivated hardware acceleration because that made problems with my old AMD card. Now I activated it and it runs smooth without problems thumb.gif Thanks a lot!

+1 would give you rep Farih but i can't you must be too good for things like that tongue.gif

good info there Sele1981 to try for the latency
