I really wonder what could cause it since this is with a gtx 970 which should not have this problem...

I had the same problem with a 770, 2 years ago, nvidia never fixed this because not a lot of people had this, so its possible that all nvidia cards and specific systems have now.

Just now with 1080 and 1070 A LOT more people have this and was acknowledged by nvidia.

Did you ever find a solution that would at least improve it somewhat?
I really hope if nvidia patches this that they release a patch that fixes all their recent generations instead of just the 1xxx series.

I also noticed the massive lag when loading the nvidia control panel seems to be caused by a DPC spike, whatch DPC load when loading it up, it gets really high, on my rig it reaches 25k us.

There is no solution because the issue is nvdia driver with specific systems. If Nvidia will not fix this, there is nothing you can do on you current system.

You can eiher

1) Change your system (motherboard, ram etc) to find a system that would not have this issue.

2) buy amd card

Typical nvidia response

Nvidia is aware of the DPC issue and will release a driver update that will resolve the issue in a future driver release. Unfortunately we do not have any other information at this time. We do not commit to release dates in case those dates need to be pushed back. I can tell you that this is a priority and will be released soon. There is no danger to the GPU's.

sounds like it will be fixed soon

specifically, a rep said its after the next driver - either in a hotfix or in the full subsequent driver .. he also said much sooner then 2 months, so that likely put it in August

Uh I couldve sworn they fixed it in the last release 368-81 guys.. Or at least it is listed in the changelog, as so ..

Or is that solely the refresh upon reboot issue with anything tryin to be over the certain hZ /330 mark,
and not that that infact is something kinda tied to stuttering and/or latencies on the same note

The main issue for her seems to be very high hard page fault even when system is idle and freshly booted. I do not think this can have anything to do with swapping/disk issues, as she has 16gigs of ram and uses a SSD for the system disk.
Here is the screenshot of latencymon running after a fresh boot with nothing else running:

And here is the video showing the severe amount of stuttering in overwatch:

There was nothing out of the ordinary in the first image you posted, but this one does appear to show the NVIDIA driver misbehaving.
