I used to have spikes into the 500us region but that was due to the integrated Intel NIC. After I disabled the Intel NIC I averaged around 150us IIRC, but definitely nothing crazy. On a 980 Ti btw. Will get some screenshots after work.

Which NIC do you use now?

Wireless actually. My room is too far away from the modem, and powerline adapters proved more trouble than they're worth.

Moca adapters man, I am using a couple actiontec ecb6200s and they are great. Almost gigabit speed.

LOL thanks but it'd be easier for me to just move the modem by that point.

I honestly don't mind wireless since I discovered the joy of the 5GHz band. If it's fast enough to stream 4K on Youtube without a hitch, it's good enough for me.

Sounds like you are using Latency Checker, which doesn't work with Win 8 even in compatibility mode if I remember correctly.

Seems like an idle problem, latency drops back to ~100 as soon as you clock the card up with the GPU-z render test.

Well now, not exactly the sort of thing I wanted to read after I just added the GTX 1080 into my water cooling loop. Going to have to test this when I get home. I was getting some audio crackling while watching a video last night. Didn't think anything of it till now.

I really don't know much about all this. I have notice the last few days some stuttering in BF4. It seems really bad at times, but then settles down after playing for a bit. I'm not sure if it has something to do with this, or perhaps it's the server that I play on.

This is a screen shot of the software(Latency Monitor) while running Firestrike.

Do these numbers look good? Like I said, I'm not familiar with all of this. I am running SLI 970's with a 144mhz monitor, and a 60hz as my second monitor. I haven't ran this software while gaming yet.
