getting high DPC latency here as well /w the hotfix driver but no noticeable input lag and stuttering

Nah, offcourse i havent tested every configuration but like Harney i also deal with lots of computers/custumors and have done for many years.
I have some "audiophile" custumors and they can be very demanding when it comes to latency.

It is indeed known that NV drivers always had more latency then the competition but the days off those 600us peaks are over really with modern CPU's and boards.
Yes if you google Nvidia latency you get lots of results with very high latency but they are mostly all from a several years ago or old/crappy computers.

Not saying that Nvidia drivers are perfect now (for previous generations) but it shouldnt be to hard to stay under 200us with Nvidia drivers now.

@Eorzean.
I didnt say having above 200us is per definition bad (for some people it is)
I did say that if you do have have it above 200us something else then just Nvidia driver alone could be amiss.

If your fine then it IS fine because its your PC and its about you.
But if i would show a custumor of mine (audio engineer or audiophile) this picture: (your pc) they would refuse to buy/pay for the computer.

The ~500us spikes don't happen unless when loading an application or game of some kind. And then once loaded, immediately goes down to 10-35us. Wouldn't LatMon report it as an actual problem if they were happening frequently? Before updating my audio drivers (and the HF driver), it was an absolute mess and it would go into the red on LatMon within seconds and be averaging 150-250 uses with frequent 500+ spikes... but it definitely doesn't average at 200us as you've stated (unless you meant the spikes), it averages at extremely low rates of 10-35us.

Here it is while playing music only:

I've spent thousands on my headphone setup, and haven't encountered any problems. But I can see how a spike of any kind would be a problem to someone who has spent over 50 grand on an amplifier rolleyes.gif. Or on a more serious note (no sarcasm intended) an audio engineer. It's definitely a major improvement than what it was and I was just reporting what fixed it for me.

I have Gigabyte 1070 Xtreme and I found about this latency problem just after I bought it.

This is after the hotfix.

Was even worse. I did a research because I had problem with the USBPORT.SYS causing high interruptes so I had to disable them.

I turned off the HTEP option in BIOS as well. And switched the GPU from IRQ to MSI mode.

Then I DDU and re-installed the hotfix drivers.

But as you can see the results are not as good as should be.

I can return the card to Newegg and get full refund as a credit. I was thinking to try switching to Asus 1070 STRIX but I'm not sure what to do. The RMA will expire in 14 days.

My mobo is old Asrock Z77 Extreme4. I'm planing to buy one of those Z170 with 6700K in the near future. I have to check first which MB will not have the problem with the USBPORT.SYS going crazy.

Anyone have the issue of occasional audio crack/pop during gaming in one channel? I do not hear this during listening to FLAC through ASIO.

980 Sli....

No DDU used on install, just lnstalled drivers over the top of the previous.....only basic optimization on the initial install.

Will check the 1080 later,I need to set an aircooled board up...the downside of full loops on everything....

I have a 1070 G1 Gaming and my latency is perfect, <50ms all the time, while in desktop or gaming.
Make sure you set the windows energy plan to high performance. If I change mine to "balanced" the latency goes up to 150-200ms.

Thx for the info I see your on a z97 Do you stream Amazon or netflix if so how is the stream

Are all your games running how they should ?

Do you get any sort of lag with in any browser it can be a strange one to spot but until you full screen it then go's back to normal

What did you upgrade from GFX ?

Its all well and good running HP mode but one should not have too....
the simple fact is the card should not be spiking with any power features on ....otherwise nvidia have work to do to get this right

Glad yours is working in HP mode but i have had over15 pc's from z87 to the latest chip sets all having issues with 10's in any power mode yes HP mode does give much better results but its still not perfect

All pc's With a 10 series card should be able to run in balanced power mode at least with no DPC spikes issues

I havent tested with any netflix movie, but in youtube everything is fine. Games are all fine too, better than my old 970, which I had some stuttler in some games. No lag in browser. I am not sure if I understood your last question.

Is this more of an optimization for the DPC issue?
