Guess what all these have in common? DX12 and Vulkan are nothing like a freakshow, they are here , now and they are damn important. The only DX11 games I play these days are WoW,Witcher 3 and Battlefront, funny enough.
That's why I said "right now". Fingers crossed this was enough crap to stick so-to-speak.
Mantle was praised as the next best thing to sliced bread. I understand Vulkan is the evolution of that and fingers crossed this is a sign of better things to come.
But when AotS arrived it wasn't enough to sell AMD to the consumer and right now Vulkan running Doom IMO isn't enough either. Half of the AAA titles at any given time need to be running it for it to be relevant.
That might not apply to OCN, but it will in the grand scheme of things.
With that said I'ma very happy RX480 owner. Best $199 spent on PC hardware in a very long time.
