It doesn't make sense to spend $30 more on an AIB RX 480 than an AIB GTX 1060.
I was hoping to get an RX 480, but the reveal price and the retail price are too far apart.sad-smiley-002.gif

I havent really read up on dpc issues, is it some sort of design flaw like thr gtx970 ram?

AFAIK that bottleneck is called dx11 cpu overhead and is the reason why rx480 gets its ass handed to it in 99,9% of dx11 comparisons with 1060.
on the bright side someone finally used vulkan for doom in their review and rx480 is thouroughly kicking 1060's butt in that.
